English students Ellie Givens (pictured) and Hannah Burke finished in the top eight in this week s big tournament on the US women s college circuit.
Ellie, a former English girls champion from Blackwell Grange in Durham, shared sixth place on level par in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch Golf Club, Colorado. She is a student at Denver University and her scores of 78, 68, 70 helped her college win the team event by a massive 27 shots.
Hannah is a former England girl international from Mid-Herts Golf Club and a student at Baylor University, Texas. She had an excellent final round of three-under 69 which included four birdies in a row from the 10th and which lifted her into eighth place. She scored 74 in each of the first two rounds.
