Golf fanatics have until tomorrow evening to bid for a place in the 2012 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns
Amateur golfers have one day left to bid for a place in this year's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, taking place at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns from October 4-7.
Those interested have until six o'clock tomorrow evening (September 13) to submit a bid on www.ebay.co.uk for the chance to share the fairway's with the world's best.
Since the auction to take part in the prestigious, invitation-only team event opened, bids have been coming in from around the world as golf fanatics attempt to secure a place in this unique tournament.
The winning bidder's package will include one amateur place in the tournament, five nights accommodation for two at an official tournament hotel, airport transfers from Edinburgh and invitations to the championship's exclusive social events.
Money raised from the auction will be donated to the St Andrews-based Pilgrim Foundation, a charity committed to the restoration of historic monuments and buildings at the Home of Golf.
Among the amateurs taking part last year were film and TV stars Andy Garcia and Hugh Grant, former British tennis number one Tim Henman and cricketers Shane Warne, Andrew Strauss and Ian Botham.
