Adidas joins Macmillan for Longest Day Challenge
Adidas unites with Macmillan for popular and gruelling Longest Day Golf Challenge
Adidas Golf has announced its official partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support for the Longest Day Golf Challenge.
The challenge asks golfers of all ages and abilities to take on 72 holes of golf in one day and help raise money for people affected by cancer.
"We are very excited and proud to be the official partners of the Longest Day Golf Challenge," said Greg Pearse, adidas Golf Brand Director, EMEA.
"We want to leverage all of our customer and media relationships to create as much awareness as possible to ensure a record number of teams sign up across the country.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for golfers across the UK to unite behind a great initiative and raise lots of money for this incredible charity."
The partnership was officially launched earlier this month at Stoke Park, with 2014 European Ryder Cup captain and TaylorMade-adidas staff professional Paul McGinley on hand.
He was joined by celebrities such as DJ Spoony, Anton Du Beke, Charlotte Jackson and Zoe Hardman.

This year, the top four teams that complete the longest day challenge will go on to compete for the 2013 Longest Day Challenge Cup, the final of which will take place in Portugal in October.
Last year more than 500 teams took part and raised more than £560,000. This year Macmillan hope to smash this total and break through the £1 million barrier.
