The PGA Tour is at one of its toughest courses for the Valero Texas Open

The PGA Tour is at one of the toughest golf courses on the roster. Check out who our tipster has picked with these Valero Texas Open golf betting tips
Valero Texas Open Golf Betting tips
This week, the PGA Tour has moved from the fun and games of the Florida Swing to Texas to face the fearsome JW Marriott TPC San Antonio course in the Valero Texas Open.
Last year saw a surprise winner in Steven Bowditch where he survived a final round of 76 to win by one shot.
The course is a beast – very long and tough - where the ability to be able to wait for your moment to strike is vital.
Headling the betting markets are two young guns who have both won in recent weeks: Jordan Spieth (8/1) and Dustin Johnson (9/1). These two are in very good form but I am unsure whether they should be quite so short.
Due to there being short priced favourites it means the rest of the field has some decent odds on offer.

Valero Texas Open Golf Betting guide advised bets
Ryan Palmer - £2 each way at 30/1
Born in Texas, Palmer is having a very good season with six top 25s, including one as runner up. Has had decent finishes here in the past.
Brendan Steele - £1 each way at 45/1
The 2011 winner, and finished top 5 when he defended his title. He's having a very solid year on tour and is yet to miss a cut.
Graeme McDowell - £1 each way at 45/1
Now if you are looking for someone to grind out a performance then the Northern Irishman could be just the man. Not been in the most fluent of form of late, but always reliable to make a cut.
Daniel Summerhays - £1 each way at 60/1
A horse for this course who is also in some decent form. Was runner up here last season and inside the top 10 the year before. Odds seems a bit longer than they should be.
All odds from Paddy Power. Each way bets - ¼ odds top 5 places.
