Farmers Insurance Open golf betting guide
This week the PGA Tour is at the magnificent Torrey Pines Golf Course for the Farmers Insurance Open.
The event takes place over the North and South courses for the first two rounds before finishing up the final two rounds on just the treacherous South Course.
Defending champion is Scott Stallings and as you will see later on he is also one of my picks for this week.
The shortest odds are reserved for Jordan Spieth (11/1) and Jason Day (15/1) both who have form and decent past results here.
This is the 4th week of our betting challenge against Down the 18th and we will again be putting our £10 against theirs to see who can pick the winners. For last week’s results, check out their blog.

Farmers Insurance Open advised bets
Jimmy Walker £2.50 @ 14/1 The Fed Ex Cup leader who has been playing really solid golf. Also has had top 10 finishes at Torrey Pines on two separate occasions. I really expect him to be challenging come Sunday
Phil Mickelson £1 each way at 30/1 Has had an up and down start to the season, but any time I can get him at these odds I try to take them. Was a winner here twice in the early 2000s and was runner up as recently as 2011.
Tiger Woods £1 each way at 40/1 – Yes you are reading this and yes I am serious… Have I seen him chip recently… yes. But facts is facts just as class is permanent and form is temporary. Has won 8 times round here and more importantly with his friend and inspiration Charlie Sifford recently having passed away, the man he called the grandfather he never had, he is sure to want to perform well in his memort.
Scott Stallings £0.50 each way at 100/1 – not often the defending champion is this long. But you can see why. Had one top 10 last sason and it was here when he won. So this is very much a horses for courses pick, but even an each way finish will leave you with a tidy profit.
All prices from Paddy Power, each way bets 1/4 odds Top 6 places. Please bet responsibly.
