Enjoy the best of Scottish golf with the Royal Deeside Classic
Those looking for top quality golf this summer, amongst a beautiful Scottish setting need look no further than the Royal Deeside Classic
Against the background of the stunning Aberdeenshire countryside, this 72 hole event for both ladies and gentlemen takes in four interesting and challenging courses: Aboyne, Ballater, Banchory and Inchmarlo.
Now in its 6th year, the dates for this year s tournament have been announced as 20th 25th July 2008, during which time prizes will be awarded for each round and for the full event.
The competition opens with a welcome reception on Sunday 20th July at Inchmarlo, followed by rounds at Inchmarlo and Ballater on the 21st and 22nd July respectively. Wednesday 23rd has been set aside as a day to rest and visit local places of interest, or for those keen to get in some extra practice, an optional competition has been organised at Braemar. The tournament resumes on Thursday 24th at Banchory and concludes on Friday 25th at Aboyne course, followed by the prize-giving ceremony.
Social evenings have been organised with a quiz night at Aboyne Golf Club on the evening of Tuesday 22nd and a ceilidh at Banchory Golf Club on Thursday 24th July an opportunity to try some real Scottish dancing!
