St Andrews hole-by-hole guide: Hole 2, Dyke
A detailed hole-by-hole guide to St Andrews Old Course, home of the 150th Open Championship. Get to know the course and find out where this year's Claret Jug may be won and lost this year

Hole 2, Dyke 453 yards Par 4
Forty yards were added to the 2nd hole for the 2005 Open with the introduction of a new tee which brought Cheape's bunker down the left side back into play at just over 300 yards. The line is down the right where there is OOB. This should not pose the pros any problems but a deep bunker ahead on the green on the left side will do, and Championship pin positions can often be found here.
