Take on the 'Sarazen' bunker challenge at Prince's
Golfers playing at Prince's Golf Club, Sandwich, this week have the chance to take on the historic 'Sarazen' bunker

Golfers playing at Prince's Golf Club, Sandwich, this week have the chance to take on the historic 'Sarazen' bunker as part of a challenge to raise funds for junior golf development during The Open Championship.
Over the four days of the tournament and for a small fee that generates funds for The Golf Foundation, golfers can test their skills from the formidable greenside trap on the 9th hole of the Himalayas course, created to commemorate the legendary Gene Sarazen, who won the Open Championship there 79 years ago.
Players will be invited to use the new Wilson Staff FG Tour sand wedge for the chance to win that same club in a daily nearest-the-pin contest or even win a full set of customised Wilson Staff irons should they hole out.
Regular golfers will have the chance to emulate the man who went on to win seven Major titles by attempting to play out from the 'Sarazen' bunker for the cost of only £2 - a fee that will go solely to developing the social and sporting development of young children through the work of The Golf Foundation.
To take part in this special challenge, golfers should go to princesgolfclub.co.uk or phone the Prince's Golf Club Pro Shop on 01304 613797 to book a tee time.
