Primetime viewing

Morning!    I know it's 1.30pm but the clearing up of the second round this morning at St Andrews means that everything at the Open has been moved back a few hours. The third round did not begin until 10am and the traditional Golf Monthly lunch break time of 12.30 has even moved back to accommodate the late starters. Current Open Championship leader Louis Oosthuizen will begin his round ten hours later than he did yesterday, at 4.50pm. This will mean the South African has had almost a day and a half to contemplate the biggest 36 hole lead at the Open since Bobby Clampett in 1982. Tom Watson claimed the title that year with Clampett eventually finishing in a tie for 10th place, thanks to rounds of 77 and 78 at the weekend.    The delay also means that the leaders will complete their third rounds during prime television time on a Saturday evening. Those enjoying a relaxing night in front of the box will have to decide between watching Westwood and Casey battle it out at the Old Course or Woody and Buzz taking on Emperor Zurg in Toy Story 2. With the wind still blowing at St Andrews, and a number of superstars waiting to pounce, I know which channel I'd be watching.
