Are you looking to take your game to the next level? And do you want to get more enjoyment from the sport? Step up the new Garmin Approach R50, golf's only all-in-one launch monitor and simulator!
This new, premium release from Garmin gives golfers the luxury of playing a full virtual round of golf from the comfort of their own home or at the driving range.
The innovative Approach R50 captures every detail of your swing and the shot you're hitting thanks to three high-speed cameras shooting at 1,700fps that track more than 15 ball and club metrics including spin rate, ball speed and both carry and total distance. Face to path is one of those, too, and tracking stickers are provided for you to understand how you deliver the club to the ball. For indoor and outdoor use, spin rate has been improved to give you the most accurate numbers no matter what the weather.
There's even a built-in barometer to measure atmospheric pressure in order to provide accurate carry distances depending on your location!
When you're working on your swing for the season ahead, take advantage of the training mode to become a better golfer and know your game better than ever. It tracks stats for each of your clubs and gives you a shot dispersion chart based on an advanced ball flight trajectory model. The Approach R50 also records your impact in high-speed for immediate visual impact on how you're striking each shot.
And come rain or shine, you can play any of the 43,000 pre-loaded golf courses from around the world, including putting, along with three of your buddies thanks to the Home Tee Hero mode (active Garmin Golf membership required) that utilises the Approach R50's built-in, 10-inch colour touchscreen display that is its own golf simulator.
If you want to take things up a level and create the ultimate home sim experience, just connect the device to a monitor or projector via HDMI. You can also customise what is shown on the external projector/monitor and the in-built screen, so you could have the course you're tackling on the big screen and your launch monitor numbers or impact video replays displayed on the R50 itself.
You can even compete globally and get your name up the leaderboard in weekly tournaments against other Approach R50 users.
The Approach R50 is super easy to setup and stow away, and it comes with a healthy 4 hours of battery life for when you want to take it to the range with you. The included carry case also keeps your device nice and safe.
All this incredible technology and versatility comes in a sleek package that is far more affordable than traditional launch monitors, with the Approach R50 priced at £4,299.99.
So if you're ready to become a better golfer and have more fun away from the course, be sure to check out the Garmin website.
