Prince's Golf Club praised by all following Amateur Championship
The Kent Link course has been getting all the plaudits after last months Amateur Championship that saw England's Garrick Porteus reign victorious.
Prince's Golf Club is an intimate venue nestled on the Bay of Sandwich, offering stunning views across the English Channel and over to the White Cliffs of Ramsgate.
It boast three loops of 9 holes; The Shore, The Dunes and The Himalayas, each of which have their own unique characteristics and have seen substantial investment and redevelopment over the past three years.
Most famous for hosting The Open Championship, won by Gene Sarazen in 1932, Prince's Golf Club has long been a venue of choice for top-level amateur and professional golf tournaments, including The Curtis Cup, The British Ladies Open, The PGA Championship, and now the Amateur Championship.
The competitors and officials present were unanimous in their praise for the expertly presented course that has undergone some considerable upgrades in the past few years, under the guidance of Troon and European Golf Design.
And Prince's Golf Club, assisted by the leader in upscale golf course management and development Troon, continues to impress on the biggest stages in golf.
The opening 36-holes of stroke-play at The Amateur Championship saw the Shore and Dunes nines present a real test for the competitors, with newly revetted and re-positioned bunkering and pristine putting surfaces testing all facets of the elite Amateur competitors' games.
