Oulton Hall has entered into a partnership with Nike Golf to retrofit the state-of-the-art Academy at the spectacular Leeds resort
The Golf Academy at Oulton Hall has become the UKs first Nike Golf Academy after the 5-star resort entered into a partnership with Nike Golf. The new-look Nike Golf Academy features the latest Nike equipment and fitting centre technology, including the Nike Golf 360° Fitting System that offers over 25,000 different club combinations. To celebrate the opening of the Nike Academy, golfers can receive a FREE custom fitting experience during the remainder of November and throughout the whole of December; to take advantage of this offer, golfers should call the Nike Academy at Oulton Hall on 0113 282 1000.
In addition to a Nike Golf fitting centre, the Academy is branded with 3D lighting in the entrance hall, light beamed logos and images throughout the driving range and televisions showing Nike’s latest products and a portrait of the world’s number #1 player, Tiger Woods. Nike has established itself as a leading brand in world golf boasting such players as Woods, Paul Casey and 2008 Masters Champion, Trevor Immelman among their ambassadors. Visitors to the new Nike Golf Academy will be surrounded by light projected images of these golfing stars and will also have the opportunity to be fitted with the latest Nike golf equipment such as the ‘SQ’ driver and fairways, CCi irons and SV tour wedges.
Oulton Hall’s association with Nike started a couple of years ago when Head Teaching Professional at the resort, James Whitaker started fitting European Tour players with Nike equipment. The list includes Hull born Richard Finch, winner of both the New Zealand Open and Irish Open earlier this year.
Keith Pickard, Director of Golf and Leisure at Oulton Hall said: “We are delighted to be able to join forces with such a distinguished brand as Nike to create the UKs first Nike Golf Academy. The fact they have chosen to partner Oulton Hall to create their first academy in the UK highlights the quality of the facilities we have here, and I have no doubt the images and light projections of the World’s best golfers will inspire our visitors and guests to maximise their game.”
The Golf Academy at Oulton Hall opened earlier this year and the addition of branding from Nike will further establish it as the North's best golf teaching centre for elite golfers and high handicappers alike. It boasts revolutionary and innovative facilities including a fully floodlit 16 bay driving range containing fully automated power tee systems, short game facilities and two double teaching bays, in addition to state of the art “Technology Room” with pioneering swing analysis software and biomechanics equipment. Furthermore, Oulton Hall boasts 27 testing championship holes set in picturesque surroundings which provide a great challenge for golfers of all abilities.
Further information about the golf facilities on offer at the resort can be found at devere-hotels.com or by calling the Pro Shop on 01132 014470.
