Quinta do Lago has launched a new centre of excellence thanks to the efforts of Paul McGinley and TaylorMade.
The first centre of it's kind in Portugal, amateur golfers will be able to use state-of-the-art technology used by tour professionals, both to improve their game and to fit the ideal clubs for their swing using the TaylorMade Select Fit System.
The academy also features swing analysis equipment as well as motion putting analysis equipment.
McGinley was at Quinta do Lago to introduce the new centre of excellence and assured he intends to be very "hands on" at the academy.
McGinley said: "I have been coming here for years, the kids enjoy coming here and I love playing the three golf courses and going to Casa do Lago in the evenings.
"I look forward to seeing how things develop and I'm delighted that it has all come together. I have been working with TaylorMade for a number of years and I am delighted to bring everything together at Quinta do Lago.
"I am going to be very hands on throughout the time. I am delighted about this project so I want to see it all working and operating at a high level."

Echoing McGinley's sentiments, CEO of Quinta do Lago, John Dwyer, said: "Having Paul McGInley here is a fantastic opportunity for everyone at Quinta do Lago. We will all benefit from his extensive experience in the game.
"Quinta do Lago wants to be right at the centre of every golfer's mind as the first destination to learn or improve their game and Paul McGinley and TaylorMade are the perfect partners to make sure we achieve that goal."
