Lawrie wins with Wilson
Paul Lawrie used Wilson Staff FG irons to help propel him to victory in last week's Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles
Wilson Staff player Paul Lawrie won for the second time this season at the Johnnie Walker Championship, using his Wilson Staff FG irons to help secure a comprehensive four-shot victory at Gleneagles.
Just days after his place in Jose Maria Olazabal's Ryder Cup team was confirmed, the 43-year-old became the first Scot to win three titles in his homeland - the 2012 Johnnie Walker Championship, the 1999 Open Championship and the 2001 Dunhill Links Championship.
Victory propelled Lawrie to seventh in the Race to Dubai standings, 30th in the Official World Golf Ranking and took his career earnings past the £9m mark.
The Aberdonian trusted his Wilson Staff FG Tour irons (3-PW) to deliver success, the same irons he used to win the Qatar Masters and record seven top ten places this season.
"I'm definitely playing the best golf of my career," said Lawrie.
"And I have to say the confidence I get from playing Wilson Staff clubs has been a major factor in the resurgence in my game, because I've been able to improve my Greens in Regulation stats considerably over the past couple of years."
Lawrie will participate in this week's Omega European Masters before setting his sighs on the 39th Ryder Cup at Medinah Country Club from September 28-30.

"It's been great to see Paul return to winning ways with Wilson Staff irons and we wish him well in the forthcoming Ryder Cup," said Doug Wright, Business Director for Wilson Golf in Europe.
