KPMG named as Official Partner to the 2010 Ryder Cup
KPMG International has been named as an Official Partner to The 2010 Ryder Cup, taking place at The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, South Wales, on October 1-3, 2010

This extends KPMG s corporate partnership into a third Ryder Cup. KPMG was an Official Partner to The Ryder Cup at The Belfry, England, in 2002 and at The K Club, Ireland, in 2006 - and the announcement further strengthens the strong golfing ties between KPMG, Ryder Cup Europe and The European Tour.
Tim Flynn, Chairman of KPMG International, said:
"KPMG is delighted to be involved once again - with the Ryder Cup, one of the world's premier sporting events. This is an exciting opportunity to link the KPMG brand with an event that has immense international popularity, prestige and credibility."
Richard Hills, Ryder Cup Director, said:
We are delighted to continue our partnership with KPMG for a third Ryder Cup. The support of world class brands and organisations such as KPMG further enhances the image and status of The Ryder Cup, and helps promote golf on the global stage. KPMG has been an integral part of The Ryder Cup for many years and we look forward to working together in making The 2010 Ryder Cup at The Celtic Manor Resort every success. The announcement supports The Ryder Cup objective of working with global brands to enhance the status of the event and develop strategic international relationships with leaders in key markets and product sectors.
KPMG has been involved in several specialist projects commissioned by The European Tour to gain a thorough understanding of the golf market place and develop new commercial opportunities for the Tour.
