Club Car continue to play key role at the Ryder Cup
Club Car has been named as the Preferred Supplier of Golf Cars and Golf Utility Vehicles to The 2008 Ryder Cup and The European Team at Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Kentucky, USA, from September 19-21
It is the sixth consecutive Ryder Cup that Club Car has been involved with and this year will see the biggest fleet of cars to date, with 300 vehicles in operation helping to get the Captains, Players, Team Officials, the Media and Spectators into the thick of the action.
Primarily this fleet will consist of two and four-passenger Precedents and two and six-passenger Carryalls. Nearly half of these will be used for TV crews and the remainder will cover everything from Rules Officials, Chief Marshals and Scoreboard Officials to services such as shuttle buses, catering and even ambulances. Of course, Club Car will also provide the now famous branded Captains and Team cars.
Club Car vehicles are rugged, durable and adaptable, regardless of where they are used. The sturdy aluminium chassis and whisper quiet motors associated with Club Car make them the perfect vehicle for this type of event.
Nick Faldo, European Ryder Cup Captain, said: The new car looks great and I m sure it will be put to good use as everyone knows the importance for me being in the thick of the action when key matches come to a close.
Club Car golf vehicles are recognised as industry leaders in efficiency and superior performance. A link with The Ryder Cup and the famous venues associated with the event underlines that position. Club Car fleets can be found at past Ryder Cup venues, such as The Belfry, Valderrama and The K Club and they will also be in place at The Celtic Manor Resort where The Ryder Cup will take place in 2010.
Club Car s involvement with The Ryder Cup is paramount to ensuring that everyone involved in the event, including the players themselves, are able to reach their desired destinations and that television viewers worldwide have access to the very latest up to the minute action.
