Two new Callaway Big Bertha 815 Alpha driver models - the Big Bertha Alpha 815 and the Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond - have been unveiled

Two new Callaway Big Bertha 815 Alpha drivers - the Big Bertha Alpha 815 and the Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond - have been unveiled.

The regular 815 driver is designed to offer long distance to everyone through low spin and forgiveness, while the 815 Double Black Diamond has been crafted for elite players.

Big Bertha Alpha 815 driver:

This new driver combines distance and performance with forgiveness, thanks a to a number of new technologies.

Callaway's Gravity Core - first employed in the Big Bertha Alpha driver - returns to enable golfers to adjust the centre of gravity.

CG can be moved up or down to optimise ball-speed locations to wherever you usually hit the ball off the face.

New RMOTO Technology in the Big Bertha Alpha 815 driver saves weight, enabling engineers to craft a lighter, thinner face for more efficient energy transfer and higher ball speeds.

The ultra-thin face allows Callaway to produce a larger, more forgiving club head, maintain a lighter swing weight and lighter overall club weight.

What's more, the new driver features a multi-material construction to deliver a low CG, forgiveness and hot ball speeds off the face.

The Fujikura 53g Speeder Motore 565 is the stock shaft, but Callaway will offer no upcharge on most comprehensive list-shaft offerings.

In addition, OptiFit Technology allows golfers to choose from eight different loft and lie angle configurations.

The Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 driver comes with a RRP of £379.

It is available from November 14, 2014 in 9, 10.5 and 12 degree models.

Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond driver:

This driver is made for competent golfers who are seeking ultra low spin for maximum distance.

Thanks to RMOTO technology, some 3 grams of weight have been saved in the face. This has allowed Callaway to lower the CG while improving stability on mishits.

The Gravity Core has also been improved to push up or lower the centre of gravity further than before.

Multi-material construction has allowed Callaway engineers to produce a hotter face, the lowest centre of gravity and save more weight.

The Callaway Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond has a tour-inspired shape and comes with a choice of 13 tour-premium shafts.

OptiFit technology allows loft and lie angles to be modified, while adjustable heel and toe weights (1g and 5g) are also on offer.

It is available at retail on November 14, 2014, in 9 and 10.5 degrees, with an RRP of £399.
