Callaway Apex Black Irons Unveiled
The new Callaway Apex Black irons have been revealed

The new Callaway Apex Black irons have been created by using a satin black PVD finish on the heads and on the True Temper shafts
Callaway has announced a cool new extension to its Apex family, with the launch of the Callaway Apex Black irons.
The ‘custom order only’ irons will sport a sleek all-black look that includes a satin black PVD finish on the heads.
The Dynamic Gold True Temper XP 95 shafts will also come with a satin black finish, as will a new blacked out UST Recoil shaft option.
Additional premium after market shafts will also be offered at no upcharge, just without the matching black look.
The Callaway Apex Black irons will also feature a black Lamkin UTX grip to complete the package.
Other than the look, the new irons will feature the same technology as found in the Callaway Apex irons launched last year.

This includes a compact forged shape for workability and feel, plus a Cup 360 face in the 4-7-irons to increase ball speeds and forgiveness, and a uniquely engineered face plate to enhance feel and distance control in the 8-PW.
As with the non-black version, the Callaway Apex Black irons will feature progressive offsets through the set, as well as progressive sole widths and centre of gravity heights for the right balance of flight, playability and forgiveness with each iron.
Dr. Alan Hocknell from Callaway Golf commented: “The progressive design in Apex Black creates scoring performance from long irons through to the short irons and Callaway’s high-tech, multi-piece construction provides a combination of distance, feel and control that can suit any player.
“The extremely soft feel of the Apex Black comes from quadruple net forging and mild carbon steel. When you combine all of these advanced technologies with the all-black finish, you have a forged iron for all golfers, with an unforgettable look.”
