The new Bushnell Tour V4 laser rangefinder is both faster and more compact than the Tour V3 model it replaces

The new Bushnell Tour V4 laser rangefinder has been unveiled, offering a faster, smaller and more ergonomically designed shape than the Tour V3 JOLT model it replaces.

The Bushnell Tour V4 laser also comes in the Tour V4 Slope Edition, which utilises Slope Technology to provide yardages that take into account and adjust for elevation changes uphill and downhill.

Unlike the Bushnell Tour X laser, which was launched last year, the Bushnell Tour V4 laser doesn't have a changeable faceplate, however if you go for the slope version you can disable the non-conforming slope function by holding down the button on top of the device, which then makes it conforming.

Whichever you go for, it'll feature a brand new faster processor that delivers the accuracy within one yard quicker than ever before.

In addition to the new stylish and compact design, the Bushnell Tour V4 laser models also feature JOLT Technology for a reassuring vibration when you've successfully measured the flag,  rather than the trees behind the green.

The Bushnell Tour V4 laser also boasts a 5-1,000-yard range (400 yards to a flag), a 5x magnification, a new ergonomic grip, a waterproof case and a two-year warranty.

Spreaking to GM about the launch, Scott Peterson, senior product manager at Bushnell, said: “Our Slope technology is trusted by professionals across the world, and we wanted to continue this with the Tour V4 models.

"In the past, amateurs have been reluctant to purchase rangefinders with Slope Technology as it was illegal to use them in tournaments. However, with the new R&A and USGA rule change, we were able to introduce the ability for golfers to turn the slope mode off as required, which we expect to open the product’s appeal out to a much wider audience.”

Bushnell Tour V4 laser rangefinder details

The Bushnell Tour V4 lasers will be available from June, with an RRP £269 for the Tour V4 and £309 for the Tour V4 Slope.
