Alvaro Quiros won the Rocco Forte Open at Verdura in Sicily for his first European Tour title since 2011.
The big-hitting Spaniard beat Zander Lombard on the second playoff hole after the South African missed a short putt.
Quiros found himself seven clear at one point in the final round but came home in 40 to tie Lombard.
He went par-par in the playoff to seal his first European Tour win since the 2011 Dubai World Championship.
“I’m very happy,” said the Spaniard.

"It’s been a little bit of a mess. The game wasn’t too bad, just the last few holes I started to struggle with the left to right wind.”
Quiros uses a full compliment of Callaway equipment including the new Epic woods.
Also in his bag are the Apex MB irons and the Odyssey O-Works two ball putter.
