We take a look at the new Ping G30 driver, part of Ping's new G30 range of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons

There are two versions of the Ping G30 driver: the regular model, and the Straight Flight Tec model, which has heel weighting and lighted swing weight to promote a straighter ball flight.

The G30 driver is constructed from a new T9S face material, providing a higher strength/weight ratio, enabling the CG to be moved lower and further back than the G25

The standard Ping G30 driver comes in a 9 and 10.5 degree version, while the SF Tec version is available in 10 and 12 degrees

Turbulators on the crown of the G30 driver reduce drag forces, which helps increase clubhead speed for more distance

The centre of gravity is positioned low/back, increasing spin and reducing the moment of inertia for longer, straighter drives

On the G30 driver, loft can be adjusted plus or minus 1 degree, in five different settings.

There are three shaft options - TFC 419D (High Balance Point - heavier head for better MOI) Tour 65 and Tour 80 (both give a lower trajectory for added control)
