Ping G5 driver
The Ping G5 driver may now be fairly old and there might be some great new models on the market, but this 12 degree club continues to serve me well.
I know the Ping G5 driver may seem as it has been around forever, but as I am a beginner it is a great club. This is mainly because of 12 degrees of loft, which improves the forgiveness levels.
As I have only just started playing golf some of my shots either end up right or left but as the club has such a high loft the ball travels much straighter through the air. One of my bad shots is normally a top but with the G5 the ball normally travels low through the air rather than only going a few yards, leaving me with a reasonable drive that could save me from a bogey or maybe even a double. This driver nowadays can be picked up for a very reasonable price making it ideal for someone who is just starting out. When I improve I hope to move on to something with a lower loft and maybe something with a higher price tag. As this club is so forgiving and can be found at a good price, I would highly recommend it to anyone just getting into golf.
