Ping G2i

This putter should instill confidence over those tricky short putts and the funky modern design should attract plenty of attention

PING G2i £100-115

DESIGN

Ping make attractive putters - they always have and probably always will, so it is no surprise that this has the sleek, classic appearance of a bygone age. But a modern, stylish design will attract a new breed of golfer.

TECH TALK

Increased perimeter weighting provides extra forgiveness for off-centre hits, important for getting long putts consistently close to the hole.

GM VERDICT

This has a trendy, modern look that will attract plenty of young players. The light club head and soft face are best suited to fast, hard summer greens and should instil confidence over those tricky short putts that can make or break a round.
