CALLAWAY X-20 3-SW £699 (s), £849 (g)
Design and Tech Benefits ?Progressive Wall Reduction System? pushes centre of gravity 6% lower than X-18?s for improved playability. Extreme Notch Weighting promises extra stability at impact.
Specs R/H and L/H steel in ?Uniflex?, plus graphite in light, regular or stiff flex. 2-iron, AW and LW also available.
GM VERDICT Familiar Callaway looks at address and easy to hit throughout. We loved the long irons, which had a fantastically solid feel, but unless the breeze had freshened imperceptibly, the short irons didn?t seem to fly quite as far as other deepish cavity models.
