Nike VR_S Covert Driver launched

Nike Golf has unveiled the new Nike VR_S Covert, the world's first cavity back driver

Nike Golf has announced the launch of the new Nike VR_S Covert, the world's first cavity back driver. The eye-catching red design features three pieces of proprietary technology - a high speed cavity back, Flex-Loft adjustability and Nike's NexCOR Face.

The cavity back design of the Nike VR_S Covert is of course, the standout piece of technology here. Visible only when looking at the sole of the driver, this has allowed the engineers to move weight more effectively into the perimeter of the face. Added forgiveness and more speed on off-centre strikes are the intended result.

The Nike VR_S Covert driver also features a new adjustability mechanism. The FlexLoft system allows loft and lie to be adjusted independently offering the consumer 15 different settings.

The Nike VR_S Covert will be available from February 8th, with a choice of Tour (430cc) and standard (460cc) heads. Both options will come with a Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage shaft. The Nike VR_S Covert Tour will have a recommended retail price of £349.99 and the standard version will cost £249.99. Pick up a copy of the February issue of Golf Monthly for more details.
