The Mizuno bill its JPX Hi-Fli as a direct long iron replacement. The wide sole is designed to combine with a deeper centre of gravity to produce a high launch whilst the increased ball speed due to the slightly lower sweet spot should result in extra carry. The Mizuno JPX Fli-Hi irons are engineered to be extremely forgiving and include a speed bevel sole which should produce better turf interaction through impact.
The Mizuno JPX Fli-Hi hybrid will be available in 3-7 iron lofts. The steel shafts are Dynalite Gold XP while the graphite Fujikura Orochi shafts will be available in a range flexes. The Mizuno JPX Fli-Hi irons will be available from mid-September 2011. The Mizuno JPX Fli-Hi hybrid will cost £80 per club in steel or £115 in graphite.
