Mizuno has revealed its new JPX-800 irons. Its 'Balanced Performance' results from a project designed to create a set of irons with strengths in a number of key criteria such as feel, distance, control and forgiveness, without one compromising another
Mizuno has revealed its new JPX-800 irons, part of an exciting new range from the equipment giants that is set for release.
Mizuno's 'Balanced Performance' results from a project designed to create a set of irons with strengths in a number of key criteria such as feel, distance, control and forgiveness, without one compromising another.
The new JPX-800 irons are Mizuno's most forgiving and longest (COR measurement) iron of all time. Distance gains have been achieved by combining its HOT METAL approach - incorporating a new manufacturing process for a thinner, more uniform face.

In addition, an exotic pocket cavity, with multiple thickness levels and an external power bar add even higher measurable levels of forgiveness (MOI).
The new JPX-800 irons feature a compact, mid-size head courtesy of a triple cut sole design.

says: "To achieve these ball speeds and MOI numbers, you'd expect to compromise by adding lots of offset, or thick top and bottom edges. But our design challenge was to pack all this performance into a head shape that a tour player wouldn't reject."
