 John Pak is an American professional golfer who secured a spot on the PGA Tour after finishing in the top 30 of the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour standings. A Florida State University graduate, he has two victories since turning professional in 2021. Find out more about his life and career below… 

John Pak Facts

1. Pak was born on 18 December 1998 in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, and grew up playing Royce Brook Golf Club. 

2. He moved to Orlando, Florida with his dad to pursue his golf career. He is now based in Tallahassee, Florida.

3. Pak has three older brothers and one older sister. He first played golf as a child with his three brothers. 

4. He was home schooled for the last three years of high school.

5. After high school, Pak was ranked seventh in the 2017 signing class and 15th among all junior golfers, according to Golfweek. He was also named Rolex Junior First Team All-American as a junior golfer. 

6. He played golf for Florida State University and majored in social science.

7. As a sophomore, Pak had the lowest scoring average in Florida State University history at 69.6. He finished first or second in more than half his starts that season, where he won four times.

8. During his junior and college career, he has won: the Seminole Intercollegiate Tournament in 2018 and 2020, the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate Tournament in 2019 and 2020, the Sea Best Invitational and ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) Championship in 2019, and the 2021 Calusa Cup.

9. He played on the winning US Walker Cup teams in 2019 and 2021. He also represented the US in the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup.

10. He was ranked as No.1 in the inaugural PGA Tour University rankings in 2021, earning Korn Ferry Tour status for the 2022 season. He swept the college golf awards in 2021, winning the Haskins, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus Awards.

11. He turned professional in June 2021 and made his professional debut at the Palmetto Championship on the PGA Tour, where he missed the cut.

12. In his debut season on the Korn Ferry Tour, Pak finished No.145 on the points list and lost his card. He would play his way back on tour after finishing 8th in the PGA Tour Canada order of merit in 2023, thanks to his first professional victory at the Elk Ridge Saskatchewan Open.

13. He won his first Korn Ferry Tour title at the 2024 Compliance Solutions Championship, beating Jackson Suber by three strokes with a score of 23 under.

14. Pak finished 23rd on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour standings to earn his PGA Tour card for the 2025 season.

15. He has made over $488,000 in his career prior to joining the PGA Tour.
