Alex Noren facts:
1. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden.
2. He made his first hole-in-one aged 12.
3. He played golf for Oklahoma State University and got a degree in Business Marketing. He played alongside Hunter Mahan at OSU.
5. He turned pro in late-2005 and earned his Challenge Tour card via European Tour Q-school.
6. He won his maiden professional title in his first full season on the Challenge Tour in 2006 at the Rolex Trophy in Switzerland.

7. His maiden European Tour title also came in Switzerland, at the 2009 Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre GC.
8. He won his second and third European Tour titles in 2011, at the Wales Open and Nordea Masters in his homeland of Sweden.
9. It took him four more years to win again, coming back at the Nordea Masters in 2015.
10. The best year of his career was 2016, when he won four times on the European Tour. He won the Scottish Open, European Masters, British Masters and Nedbank Golf Challenge.
11. The biggest win of his career came in 2017, when he shot a course record-equalling 62 in the final round to win the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
12. Noren's final European Tour title to date, his 10th overall, came in July 2018 at the French Open. He has not won anywhere worldwide since.
13. His career-high world ranking is 8th.
14. His total of 10 European Tour titles is one less than compatriots Henrik Stenson and Robert Karlsson.
15. Noren married his wife Jennifer Kovacs in 2017. The pair have a daughter named Iris and a son named Roy.
16. He and his family now live in Jupiter, Florida.
17. Noren played in the 2018 Ryder Cup representing Team Europe, where he won 2 points from his three matches. He holed a 50-footer on the 18th green to beat Bryson DeChambeau 1up in the Sunday singles.
18. He has just two top-10s in Majors, with a T9 and T6 at The Open in 2012 and 2017 respectively being his best finishes.
19. He has not yet won on the PGA Tour despite playing more than 180 events and winning over $15m. He has three runner-up finishes, most notably at the 2018 Farmers Insurance Open where he lost on the sixth playoff hole to Jason Day.
20. He played in the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics.
21. He went 326 holes without a three-putt during the 2020-21 PGA Tour season, the longest on tour.
22. He is a long-time Callaway staffer and plays a full bag of the company's products.
