Who Is Billy Horschel's Wife?
Find out more about Billy Horschel's wife, Brittany whom he married in 2010 and is mother to their three children
American golfer Billy Horschel has achieved many successes in his career, including victory at the 2014 FedEx Cup, but who is his wife? We get to know her here.
Who Is Billy Horschel's Wife?
Brittany Horschel was born in Chicago on December 8, 1987 to parents Chase Nelson and Deborah Nelson. She has one brother called Brad.
Horschel met his wife Brittany in 2004 during his junior golf years at the University of Florida, claiming "it was love at first sight... for me! She took a little longer to come around."
The pair both attended Florida, with Brittany studying psychology and initially on the women's golf team but later being forced to give up the game due to ongoing wrist injuries. She underwent three surgeries as the problem persisted.
The pair married in 2010 and have three children. Skylar Lillian, who was born in 2014, two days after Horschel won the FedEx Cup. A second daughter called Colbie Rae, who was born in 2017 and their son Axel Brooks, who was born in 2019.

Both Billy and Brittany are passionate about carrying out charity work and their Horschel Family Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Feeding Northeast Flordia - among other groups.
Despite many successes, the couple have experienced some struggles. After claiming the AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament in 2017, Horschel hinted at a private struggle he and his family had been dealing with.

Later that day, Brittany published a tweet to explain her husband's emotional reaction, revealing publicly that she sought treatment the previous year for alcoholism.
Appearing on Good Morning America in 2017, Brittany said: “I was hiding how much I was drinking. He knew that I drank a couple of glasses of wine at night, but other than that I really kept it hidden from friends and family; and, especially, Billy.”
"It was tough. She was an alcoholic, she had issues drinking but our relationship together as a husband-wife was not great. We needed to work on that … so for me to be more open, communicate better with my wife and our relationship was a massive thing that we learned how to do," said Horschel.

And in May 2024, Billy published a video message on social media which stated how proud he was of his wife after she had reached eight years sober.
He said: “Today is a special day in the Horschel household. It’s May 21, and it’s Brittany’s eight-year sobriety date.
“It’s truly amazing to see what her life has become, how she has changed as a person – become an unbelievable mother, become an unbelievable support system to me.

“I know there’s a lot of people out there struggling with addiction, and you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, you don’t think you can get sober, you don’t think there’s anyone out there that may care for you or love you enough to help you through the journey – but there is. There are people out there.”
A few months earlier, in October 2023, Billy and Brittany became the first married couple in DP World Tour history to compete together when they teed it up at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
That year, Matt Fitzpatrick won the pro-am event with his mother Sue while claiming the DP World Tour pro event as well.
Horschel - who is an ardent West Ham United fan - said: “It’s cool to have Brittany out here out here as my partner this week. Last year she caddied, and now this week with her playing I get to support her, too.
"She hasn’t done this in years, she’ll be looking at me to help calm her down, so I’ll have to help a little bit there, but we’re excited to play together.”
Who is Billy Horschel's caddie?
Meanwhile, Brittany - who had recorded an ace at Country Club of Fairfield earlier that summer - said: “We decided about six months ago, when Billy decided this fit into his schedule, that I would like to play.
"I caddied last year, but it’s my first time playing. It’s a bit new for me. After playing in college, I took about 10 to 15 years off, I didn’t even touch a club.”
