Olivia Cowan turned professional in 2015, and since then, she has made steady progress in the game, including an LET win and a top-10 finish in a Major.
Here are some things you may not know about the LPGA Tour player.
1. Olivia Cowan was born 9 April 1996 in the town of Homburg, Germany.
2. Her father, Andrew, is an English-born teaching professional in Germany who was responsible for her taking up the game when she was aged just three.
3. Cowan enjoyed an excellent amateur career, which included representing the German National Team from 2011 to 2015. She also won multiple amateur events, including the Luxembourg, German, Portuguese and Spanish Ladies International Amateur Championships.
4. Cowan also represented Germany in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, where she finished fourth.
5. Cowan won twice on the LET Access Series in 2015 before turning professional that July. She then claimed her first win as a professional on the circuit in the Norrporten Ladies Open.

6. She earned her LET card at the end of the season after finishing top of the Order of Merit. In a 2020 interview with the LET Access Series, she described finishing top of standings as her biggest achievement in the game at that point.
7. In the same interview, Cowan said her favorite course to play is St.Leon Rot in her homeland.
8. Cowan captained the winning team at the 2021 at the Aramco Team Series - London.
9. She then won the 2022 Hero Women's Indian Open.
10. In 2022, she earned her LPGA Tour card through qualifying school. Despite that achievement, her first spell on the circuit wasn't enjoyable.
In a 2024 interview with Golf Digest Middle East, she said: "I didn’t really expect to go back to the LPGA last season because the first time I went over I didn’t enjoy it. I got injured, so I was out of playing anyway, but I eventually went back and still didn’t enjoy it.
"So I just said, 'I’m going to go back to the LET and I’m going to play where I feel my best. I know there is decent money on the LPGA Tour, but money isn’t everything to me. It’s just fun to play golf and enjoy it and I just wasn’t enjoying it anymore."
11. In 2023, Cowan finished in the top 10 of a Major for the first time with a T9 at the AIG Women's Open at Walton Heath.
12. Cowan is in a relationship with DP World Tour player Todd Clements, and has caddied for him in the past. At the 2024 Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed, the couple were paired together in the final round.
13. Cowan also used to play tennis, and was one of several LPGA Tour pros who attended the 2024 Wimbledon Championships as a member of the crowd.
14. She enjoys traveling, and particularly likes Australia the Maldives and New York.
15. She is currently managed by Niall Horan's Modest! Golf Management.

Matt joined Golf Monthly in February 2021 covering weekend news, before also transitioning to equipment and testing. After freelancing for Golf Monthly and The PGA for 18 months, he was offered a full-time position at the company in October 2022 and continues to cover weekend news and social media, as well as help look after Golf Monthly’s many buyers’ guides and equipment reviews.
Taking up the game when he was just seven years of age, Matt made it into his county squad just a year later and continues to play the game at a high standard, with a handicap of around 2-4. To date, his best round came in 2016, where he shot a six-under-par 66 having been seven-under through nine holes. He currently plays at Witney Lakes in Oxfordshire and his favourite player is Rory McIlroy, despite nearly being struck by his second shot at the 17th during the 2015 BMW PGA Championship.
