The first venue launched in 2019, includes 4 Trackman powered simulators, alongside duel integration cameras and video analysis in each bay. Tee Box has recently installed a Zen Greenstage moving putting surface with Zen Eye augmented reality and SAM putt lab unit, duel UHD cameras and video analysis.

Tee Box is also about to launch their second studio, at nearly 4500sqft and housing 10 simulators, all powered by Trackman and the same video analysis equipment, it will be the largest Trackman powered golf studio in The UK. This new studio is due to launch in March 2022, check out their website or social channels for further details.

Tee Box London

Tee Box is the brainchild of golf professionals Liam McCrossan and Harry Varney who have played golf together since they were youngsters. Now highly experienced teaching pros, the pair saw an opportunity to create a truly exceptional indoor golfing facility in central London.

Since opening Tee Box in 2019, Liam and Harry have not only invested in creating excellent facilities but also in developing the skills of their team of instructors through their Tee Box qualification, advancing their coaches’ knowledge in fields that include biomechanics, club kinetics and motor learning.

A combination of this expertise and the best technology in the industry gives golfers the very best instruction and practice experience from their first Tee Box session. Each simulator at Tee Box is equipped with Trackman 4 launch monitors, technology trusted by 49 of the world’s top-50 golfers, together with duel UHD cameras and video analysis software.

Members and visitors can choose to take a lesson from one of the highly qualified instructors and/or book a practice session. In each of these sessions, a golfer can look at every swing on camera from a variety of angles, take a detailed look at the Trackman data allowing them to ascertain what parts of the swing to work on.

Golfers can also choose to play on one of 140 world class golf courses on the most realistic, industry-leading virtual golf system. Tee Box also has two VIP simulators that can host up to eight golfers each.

Tee Box is also home to one of the very best-equipped putting studios in the UK, featuring a SAM putt lab unit, duel UHD cameras and video analysis. There’s also a Zen Greenstage moving putting surface with Zen Eye augmented reality that projects the exact gradients that you move the putting surface to. Other than Sky Sports, Tee Box is the first place in the world to have this technology.

Tee Box has the latest clubs from Callaway and TaylorMade and lockers to store golfers' own clubs. The facility provides new balls from Callaway and Titleist that perform as they would on a course rather than the decompressed balls used by many ranges. The indoor facilities provide controlled conditions, away from wind and rain to help golfers truly understand what causes the ball flight and thereby learn and improve.

Tee Box can also supply custom fitted PXG clubs and will extend this to other brands soon.

Tee Box is a rapidly growing business and expects to open more indoor golf studios in London, and other major cities in the UK in the near future.

All standards of golfers are welcome either as visitors or to join the growing membership of 350 which contains players ranging from Touring Professionals to complete beginners.

Fergus is Golf Monthly's resident expert on the history of the game and has written extensively on that subject. He has also worked with Golf Monthly to produce a podcast series. Called 18 Majors: The Golf History Show it offers new and in-depth perspectives on some of the most important moments in golf's long history. You can find all the details about it here.

He is a golf obsessive and 1-handicapper. Growing up in the North East of Scotland, golf runs through his veins and his passion for the sport was bolstered during his time at St Andrews university studying history. He went on to earn a post graduate diploma from the London School of Journalism. Fergus has worked for Golf Monthly since 2004 and has written two books on the game; "Great Golf Debates" together with Jezz Ellwood of Golf Monthly and the history section of "The Ultimate Golf Book" together with Neil Tappin , also of Golf Monthly.

Fergus once shanked a ball from just over Granny Clark's Wynd on the 18th of the Old Course that struck the St Andrews Golf Club and rebounded into the Valley of Sin, from where he saved par. Who says there's no golfing god?
