Inbee Park at the Women's US Open

Golf Blog: Inbee Park
This week at the Women's US Open, Inbee Park has the chance to make history by being the only female player to win the first three majors of the year in the modern era.
The 24 year old South Korean, now a veteran of the tour even at such a young age, has one the first two majors of this season as well as three other tournaments, including her last two.
It is a run of form that has seen her rise to number one in the world in April of this year, and has made her the clear favourite to take the title this week at Sebonack Golf club in New York state.
It would be an incredible feat to accomplish, and the prospect of this will hopefully draw a wider fan base to the women's game, which is constantly searching for the limelight. The best part of it all, she's leading after round one.
Her five under round of 67 included just one bogey, on a course that has been set up to allow for aggressive play.
It is an opening volley which is likely to scare the rest of the field into believing that history will be made this week. We will just wait and see. I for one am really hoping it will be.
