It's the time of the year we all look forward to. Not only is it Open week, but it's Open week at St Andrews.

Jordan Spieth arrives in Scotland on the back of his second win at the John Deere Classic. With the last two majors to his name, the American will be a strong favourite to lift the Claret Jug for the first time.

Rickie Fowler also arrives at St Andrews with a trophy, having edged out Raphael Jacquelin and Matt Kuchar at the Scottish Open.

However, they're not the only men in with a shout of winning at the Home of Golf...

GM tips for this week

USA 1: Rickie Fowler - With the Players Championship under his belt and a win at the weekend in Scotland, Fowler has to be among the Americans most likely to win at St Andrews.

USA 2: Jordan Spieth - It's hardly a surprise pick, but Spieth is in the form of his life. A win at the weekend on the PGA Tour only reaffirms his position as the Open favourite.

Great Britain: Justin Rose - The Englishman's missed cut on his last visit to St Andrews shouldn't count for much. He has one win, a T2 and a play-off defeat in the last three months.

Ireland: Shane Lowry - There are few with a short-game like Lowry's. He finished T9 at the US Open on a testing course. Don't be surprised to see him high up the leaderboard again this week.

Scandinavia: Henrik Stenson - One of the few players who doesn't have a major but really should. His big-hitting off the tee is only one part of his game. He could certainly run anyone close on his day.

Rest of Europe: Victor Dubuisson - The Frenchman is due a win and has the game to do it. He performed well at the Scottish Open, finishing T10.

Asia: Thongchai Jaidee - With two top 11 finishes in his last three tournaments, Jaidee has the form to fare well at St Andrews.

Africa: Branden Grace - An impressive T4 finish at Chambers Bay reaffirms the idea that Grace is one of South Africa's most talented players. This could be his week.

Australasia: Adam Scott - Few boast as impressive a recent Open record as the Australian. He finished second in 2012, T3 in 2013 and T5 last year.

South America: Andres Romero: The Argentine is playing at the Barbasol Championship in Alabama. His T6 finish at the Greenbrier Classic will give him belief that a first PGA Tour win in seven years is not far away.
