Fantasy Focus: FedEx Cup begins

The Barclays will kick-off the 2015 FedEx Cup in Edison, New Jersey.

The American won the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship during the play-off events last season, culminating in that eye-watering grand prize.

Two-time winner of the FedEx Cup Tiger Woods is absent having finished outside the cut-off point, with Martin Kaymer and Graeme McDowell also set to miss out.

The European Tour continues with the Czech Masters, where David Horsey will be aiming to make it two wins in a week.

Fellow Englishmen Eddie Pepperell and James Morrison are also in the Prague field.

GM tips for each category

USA 1: Jim Furyk - With two top 5s in his last three tournaments, Furyk is in form and would surprise no one by finishing in the top 5 or 10 at Plainfield Country Club.

USA 2: Jordan Spieth - After marginally missing out on completing the Grand Slam, Spieth will be fired up to dominate the field again and a good bet to do so.

Great Britain: Justin Rose - Few come into the FedEx Cup in form to rival Rose. He's finished in the top 6 five times in his last six tournaments and is capable of doing the same again this week.

Ireland: Padraig Harrington - A T20 finish at the Open is the best result Harrington has had since winning the Honda Classic in January. If he can channel his St Andrews form into this week he could be in contention.

Scandinavia: Henrik Stenson - The Swede comes into The Barclays in 41st place in the points list. He started the season strongly, but hasn't been able to find any consistency since. A recent T6 finish at the Bridgestone Invitational will give him hope.

Rest of Europe: Victor Dubuisson - T10 and T18 finishes in his last five tournaments will give the Frenchman hope he can find some more consistent form.

Africa: Charl Schwartzel - An impressive T3 finish at the Wyndham Championship and a seventh placed finish at the US Open have been the highlights for Schwartzel recently. He could contend if his Wyndham form carries over.

Asia: Hideki Matsuyama - He may be a little out of form, but Matsuyama is one of a handful of players who many feel is capable of winning a major. On his day, he's a player to be feared.

Australasia: Danny Lee - After winning the Greenbrier Classic early last month, Lee has shown incredible form. He finished in the top 6 in three of his following four tournaments and comes into The Barclays in tenth place on the points list.

South America: Camilo Villegas - There isn't much consistency to Villegas' game, but he's shown in the past that he has the ability to compete at the top of leaderboards.
