Set in 1,000 acres of mature parkland, just seven miles from Edinburgh City Centre (there are views of Edinburgh Castle from the estate), Dalmahoy is one of Scotland's best-known golfing resorts. There are two courses on offer here. The East is the longer and more challenging at 7,475 yards off the tips and it has played host to a number of significant competitions over the years including the Scottish Senior Open on six occasions between 1998 and 2008. The West is a shorter and less testing layout at 5,168 yards, ideal to use as a warm-up for the resort's longer track or for the less experienced player. The hotel delivers recently refurbished and extremely comfortable rooms, along with a spa, sauna, gym and tennis courts.
