No 39 - K Club - Palmer
Ryder Cup venue for 2006, needless to say the K Club Palmer course has some spectacular features, but besides the wonderful setting, the course really does provide excitement from start to finish

39 K CLUB – Palmer
Architect: Palmer 2006 position: 21 Stats: 6,815 yds; par 72; SSS 74 GF: €165-€610 T: 00353 1601 7200 W: kclub.com
This is a beautiful place with mature specimen trees, the River Liffey, attractive lakes and some fabulous buildings.
The course itself is tough and in pristine condition, with tricky greens that are true, consistent and fast. Hazards abound in the form of rivers, lakes, and the many bunkers.
It is fair, even though a poor shot – or a slightly misjudged one – can be severely punished with a lost ball.
There are some very dramatic holes that are fun and challenging, and it cannot fail to be a thrill to play the holes over which the 2006 Ryder Cup was played. SP
+ Immaculate conditioning; exciting from start to finish - Very expensive; easy to lose a lot of golf balls
