No 33 - St George's Hill - Red & Blue
The Harry Colt-designed St George's Hill features wonderful heather and gorse in abundance and when you've negotiated your way round, a special carvery lunch awaits

33 ST GEORGE’S HILL – Red & Blue
Architect: Colt 2006 position: 24 Stats: 6,526 yds; par 70; SSS 71 GF: £50-£140 T: 01932 847758 W: stgeorgeshillgolfclub.co.uk Harry Colt is one of the godfathers of golf-course architecture, and this stock-broker belt design is a classic heathery, piney layout with a beautifully balanced feel.
Standing at the front of the striking and unusual clubhouse, looking out over the course, you realise how lucky you are to be playing here.
There is wonderful heather and gorse with plenty of majestic Scots Pine and birch, and the undulations provide interest without being too tiring.
With a terrific variety of holes, the challenge is to keep the ball straight and to avoid the punishing, but beautifully presented bunkers. RS
+ Fabulous and old-fashioned; classic Colt design; great carvery lunch - Ongoing drainage work has been causing some disruption
