The course is a superb pine-, birch- and heather-lined layout, virtually from the 1st tee to the 18th green, set in the beautiful Perthshire countryside. As such it demands solid, strategic golf, with straight driving of paramount importance. Towards the end a handful of testingly tiered greens and just a hint of water add to the challenge.
Panellists' comments: "Requires accuracy and an ability to shape the ball both ways off the tee"; "Real sense of isolation and tranquillity"
