Saunton's West course is slightly shorter than the East, but arguably offers more variety as it plays over land closer to the uniquely rumpled Braunton Burrows dune system. This proximity to the higher dunes adds to the character, providing many memorable moments, among them the picturesque downhill par-3 4th and 16th holes.
Panellists' comments: "The East has the reputation, but some members favour the West"; "A day-ticket for both is a bargain"
