Hillside is a unique layout that blends traditional links holes with others framed by pinewoods. Two glorious par 5s, the 11th and 17th, played through dune-lined valleys, are exceptional golf holes. In 2011, the Amateur Championship will return to Hillside for the first time since 1979 - a fitting way to celebrate the club's Centenary year.
Panellists' comments: "Heaving dunes frame a host of extraordinary holes"; "A very solid front nine, but lacks back-nine wow factor"
