Sunningdale's New Course eclipsing the Old (and indeed all non-links) is possibly the biggest talking point in our Top 100. However, we believe the New to be the most complete inland layout there is. Heather-lined fairways lead to fast, undulating greens while changes in elevation deliver superb views across the attractive surrounding countryside. The layout provides a stern test for even the most accomplished golfer. Add in the superb visitor facilities and wonderful ambience of the club and a day here is pure magic.
Panellists' comments: "Tougher than the Old"; "Great balance of fascinating and testing holes with a definite risk/reward factor"
