Have you got the golf bug yet? If not, then I'm sure it will be with you very shortly. For me, it has normally arrived around this time of the year when the weather begins to improve, the clocks change back and The Masters Tournament is on the horizon. Due to the fact I'm lucky to write about golf for a living, that golf bug never really leaves me now, rather ramping up or calming down over the year - however, it doesn't mean I'm not excited for the season ahead come the spring time.

I say this because this was the time I would really prep for what I hope would be a long spring and summer of golf. Be that stocking up on some of the best golf balls, acquiring a fresh pair of golf shoes to set up me up for the year or simply pulling the trigger on that driver or putter I'd been eyeing up over the winter.

This applies for golf bags too. Sometimes it's hard for us to part ways with an older, trusty golf bag we've been using for years. We grow so used to it and take a 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' mentality, even if the bag is beginning to show signs of age. I've been guilty of this, so I'm here to encourage those who are in need of a new one to take the leap and invest in a shiny new toy - there truly isn't a better time of the year to do so.

Mizuno BR-D3 stand bag review

I do this because I've spotted a unique sale from our friends at Mizuno, a brand more known for making some of the best golf irons on the market. They are lesser known for their golf bags, which is surprising given how well they perform, and how they look. I really think the colors and finishes in particular make them arguably the best looking models in golf. The good news is that you can try them for yourself and save up to 20% in the process in the latest sale on their website. I've picked out five of my favorites below, but if none tickle your fancy be sure to check out the Mizuno website for all the deals.

Bags aren't the only items discounted, with some of their best golf clubs hitting the sale rack in addition to a new sale on Mizuno golf gloves - one in which I'll be taking advantage of to stock up on ahead of the 2025 season.

Mizuno BR-D3 Stand Golf Bag
Mizuno BR-D3 Stand Golf Bag: was $210 now $150 at Mizuno

The BR-D3 is a bag that is as practical as it is stylish, providing pleasantly surprising levels of storage, excellent build quality and attention to detail as well as delivering a pleasant, lightweight carrying experience. Although it's only available in one colorway at the moment (there were six at release), we tested the blue and white colorway you see above and thought it looked fantastic. The BR-D3 does tick an awful lot of boxes for the serious golfer who wants a lightweight carrying option.

Mizuno BR-D4C Cart Golf Bag
Mizuno BR-D4C Cart Golf Bag: was $280 now $224 at Mizuno

Available in five different colors, the BR-D4C is the most spacious golf bag Mizuno have to offer. 10 main pockets and plenty of extra compartments are on offer here, meaning you can store anything you may need during your round. The “mission control” organizer panel makes it easy to store anything you need for quick access, whilst a large cooler pocket is included to keep your beverages cold during those warm summer rounds in the sun.

Mizuno BR-D4 Stand Golf Bag

The BR-D4 sits in the sweet spot between lightweight carry bag and spacious cart bag - we've grown to label these as 'hybrid golf bags'. Designed with the player who both walks and rides during rounds in mind, it includes 10 pockets plus additional compartments for all your gear and accessories. The BR-D4 is also available with a 14-way top divider for the same price.

Mizuno Pro Stand Golf Bag
Mizuno Pro Stand Golf Bag: was $330 now $297 at Mizuno

Premium leather golf bags have become increasingly popular in recent years and it isn't hard to see why - Mizuno's entry into this market is a really impressive one. Not only does the Pro Stand Bag look fantastic, it also packs in plenty of performance. Available in three different colors with the option of a single or double strap, this bag includes a fleece-lined valuables pocket with a waterproof zip, a Magnetic Closure Pocket with fleece lining and an insulated drinks pocket, all whilst weighing light enough for a pleasant 18-hole walking experience.

Mizuno BR-D2 Carry Golf Bag
Mizuno BR-D2 Carry Golf Bag: was $170 now $119.99 at Mizuno

If you're like me, you'll know the value of having both a reliable stand bag in addition to a trusty pencil bag. Sometimes referred to as sunday golf bags, they're a stress-free, relaxed way of playing a casual round of golf. Despite the smaller size, the BR-D2 is a resourceful golf carry bag with stand that handles 14 clubs with ease - with 9 pockets giving you enough storage to pack your essentials. I love using my pencil bag for those short evening rounds of 9 holes after work and this is a bag that ticks every box I look for in this regard.

Mizuno Tour Golf Glove
Mizuno Tour Golf Glove: was $25 now $20 at Mizuno

I thought I'd highlight the savings available on golf gloves in the Mizuno sale too. I've highlighted my glove of choice - the premier Mizuno Tour Glove, their best offering in this department. It's soft, comfortable and durable - what more could you ask for? It's just one of seven gloves available which you can check out in their golf glove section.
