TaylorMade SIM Max Rescue
Different golfers want different things from their hybrids. Some prefer a compact head for maximum versatility from all sorts of lies and greater scope to work the ball; others prefer a slightly bigger head for greater confidence, particularly when playing from the tee.
Editor's Choice 2020
The new SIM Max Rescue from TaylorMade falls into the former camp, and it is perhaps this element of its design that has seen it, slightly surprisingly, find its way into the bags of Rory and DJ among others this year on tour.

The SIM Max hybrid shares similar V Steel technology to the SIM fairway woods, featuring a V-shaped sole plate that has been engineered to reduce friction through the ball and allow golfers to play with confidence from all sorts of lies. The face is made from a powerful C300 steel rather than titanium as in the fairway woods, but it retains Twist Face technology to provide some mishit assistance.

A highly playable club
The leading edge has been reshaped relative to previous TaylorMade Rescues, and that helps to make this a highly playable club from fairway or rough, inspiring greater confidence. We feel that many golfers will find the two-tone crown highly appealing too, which should give them further confidence over the ball.

Despite its compact size, there’s ample forgiveness on offer via Twist Face and the Speed Pocket, which is designed to help on mishits low in the face, so you really are getting the best of both world’s with the SIM Max Rescue – the versatility and workability of a compact head, plus the playability and forgiveness of TaylorMade’s various corrective technologies.
We’re also pleased to see a good range of five different lofts from 19˚ through to 31˚ meaning that golfers who are big fans of hybrids can take their hybrid line-up all the way through to the mid-irons if they wish.
