Honma XP-1 Irons
In the T/World XP1 irons, Honma has produced an extremely high-performance game improvement iron that delivers exceptional levels of distance and forgiveness.
Editor's Choice 2020
There’s a trend towards distance irons becoming more compact and the XP-1 provides a perfect example of this. They look pretty neat at address and, although they have a reasonably thick topline to inspire confidence, they certainly don’t appear clunky.
In fact, we think it’s a really attractive club with the chrome details adding a touch of class – this is clearly a premium product that looks great in the bag and behind the ball.
The high-performance design of the XP-1 irons produces impressive distance and accuracy, thanks to a thin, fast club face throughout the set.

The hollow long irons feature a tungsten sole weight for enhanced launch, while the short irons have a deep cavity for extra control and precision. A high MOI is achieved with a low, deep centre of gravity for higher launches and longer carries.
High launch
In testing we found the XP1 to produce a high launch and a strong, draw-biased flight. Greater ball speed is produced from a wider area on the clubface meaning more distance, even on poorer strikes.
We also recorded high spin rates to keep the ball in flight longer and higher clubhead speeds thanks to the lightness of the head itself. This is a consistently forgiving iron.

Great interaction
The wide sole helps the XP1 glide through the turf quickly and this increases the margin for error on the strike, especially on slightly heavy contacts.
The Honma T/World XP1 iron delivers exceptional quality and performance. It looks great behind the ball, it’s fast and forgiving and it will help improving players get the very most from their iron play.
