Adidas Codechaos
Adidas have described the golf footwear market as a ‘sea of sameness’and consequently, wanted to inject some energy into the category with its latest offering.
Editor's Choice 2020
Codechaos is truly unlike any other golfer shoe. With it’s vibrant details it will catch your eye on the shelf, but performance remains at the heart of the design.
The upper is made of a multi layer mesh, making it lightweight, flexible and breathable. It also has a thin film on top that provides waterproof protection, durability and it repels water and debris so it doesn’t stain and is easy to clean.

Full length Boost cushioning features across the entire midsole, creating energy rebound and putting a spring in your step. You’ll also notice how the rubber wraps over from the outsole in three key areas to limits the Boost’s expansion here for added support.
Golfers will really enjoy the soft, spongy feeling underfoot when you first slip Codechaos on. It definitely has a trainer-like fit and feel – light and flexible with a low profile outsole that lets you feel the ground as you walk and swing. We can’t fault the grip on offer - it provided a slip-free platform from which to swing on a variety of different lies and the wet ground conditions didn’t seem to make a difference.

Golf shoes afford you the opportunity to add some flair to your outfit and the Codechaos will certainly do this. The styling actually grows on you over time. There are some safer options to choose from, as well as a particularly outlandish BOA lacing option with more of a slip-on style. In all of them, the instant comfort underfoot is sensational. So if you’re looking for a light, athletic golf shoe that doesn’t skimp on performance, Codechaos is well worth a try in 2020.
