Troon Fullerton and Darley GC's
Two excellent municipal courses in the town which won't set you back an arm and a leg

Royal Troon may be the course on everyone's wish list when they come to play in Ayrshire but unless you've got a spare ton burning a hole in your back pocket then you might want to look elsewhere.
Handy then that there are two excellent municipal courses in the town which won't set you back an arm and a leg. Fullerton is relatively short at under 5000 yards and with no par 5's, but it is no less enjoyable because of this.
Darley is tougher with lots of blind tee shots making it a real test of accuracy and nerve. In fact, Darley is so tricky, it?s apparently the fourth hardest course in Scotland to play to your handicap. Now there?s a challenge.
Best Hole: It has to be the par-3 ninth at Darely. A beautiful hole that isn?t afraid to wreck a decent score.
Green fees: Fullerton: £13 weekdays £16 weekends. Darley: £15 weekdays £20.00 weekends
Location: Harling Drive, Troon, KA10 6NF
