A few miles east perched above the town, Kendal Golf Club is one of the few in the whole area where you can hire a buggy, an essential piece of kit for most. But that's not to say this course is new to the world. In 1991 it celebrated its centenary.
It might not be the longest par 70 on planet golf but keep your ball on the fairway at all times. If you drive it well chances are you'll register an impressive number as you can chase the pin from lush fairway lies. The greens too are kept in immaculate condition all year round so ant sound stroke should be rewarded.
