Keighley GC

Keighley celebrates its centenary this year and the course has ceratainly stood the test of time, beautifully showcasing what inland English golf can offer. It's not long by modern standards but the par of 69 makes it a real test with the 445-yard par 4 1st setting the tone. And there are a number of other long par 4s.

The 4th 5th and 6th holes will also test your ability to hit a green with a long iron or fairway wood. There are some excellent par 3s too- notably the 209-yard 16th, which requires a pure strike to hit and hold the putting surface.

But as you'd expect from a par 69 course its not all a long slog and the other holes are more a test of nerve than power. Our advice would be not to go chasing birdies play it sensibly and you might accumulate a decent score.

Best Hole: The par 3 16th stands out as it requires a deadly accurate long iron - not easy.
