Beaconsfield Golf is an awesome parkland track located just 30 miles from the center of London. Measuring just 6,493 yards off the backs, it is not a long course, but the quality of its layout is characteristic of top designer Henry Colt.
At over 100 years old, the course is well established and has hardly changed from its original setup. Once warmed up you will find it a fair reward for some good golf, but a suitable challenge if you're not quite on your "A" game. The first hole is without a doubt the hardest on the course, measuring at 457 yards, straight into the prevailing wind; it will play as a par 5 for all but the big-hitters.
The remainder of the front nine is a good test of golf. Perhaps the most adventurous of the holes being the par 4 6th, measuring at 430 yards, this dog-leg right requires a driver and a long iron across two valleys on your way to a well-guarded shallow green. Luke Donald learnt his trade round the fairways and greens of Beaconsfield and it didn?t do his golf any harm!
Best Hole: Time to warm up properly because you?ll be hit by a very long and tough opener.
Green Fees: £38 per round, £50 per day
